LTPA Royal Games Competition

Registration

  • This is in case we exceed the limits of the draws in the three sports. Choose this if you want to be considered an alternate.

    Royal Alternates are eligible to play in the Fun Games on Stadium Court.
  • This is a registration for Pickleball and Bocce competition on January 27. The Tennis Round Robin is full.

    This is not a registration for the Royal Feast on January 26. You must register separately for the Royal Feast.



     

    Registration Opens December 27, 2023
     The Kings and Queens of The Landings will be treated to a Spectacle Of The Finest Athletic Prowess on the courts of
    Tennis, Pickleball and Bocce. 

     

    Competitors will be divided into four teams
     
    Teams will duel with racquets and bocce to curry the favor of the fairest maidens and most gallant Florida men.


    There will be the music, pageantry and of the finest food and beverages from the LYGTC kitchens and wine cellars*.

    Competition Details (TBD):

    Tennis -   45 minute Round Robin format with 8 game Pro set,  with Bisc  scoring.  Finals will be a 10 point tie breaker on Stadium Court.  20 players per kingdom

    Pickleball - Round Robin format with Rally Scoring Finals. 16 players/kingdom

    Bocce - Round Robin format with finals on Stadium Court. 4-8 players/kingdom

    FUN TENNIS GAMES - Throughout the day open to all (more details coming) - Stadium Court

    Competition Schedule **

    1. Hangover and Feast Stories at 8:30 AM - Tennis Deck
    2. Opening Ceremony at 9:00 AM - Stadium Court
    3. Competition begins at 9:30 AM
    4. Pickleball Finals at 2:30 PM - Court 5
    5. Tennis Finals at 3:15 PM - Stadium Court
    6. Bocce Finals 4:00 PM - Stadium Court
    7. Closing Ceremony at 4:15 PM - Stadium Court
    ** times determined by the latest generation Willis Sun Dial.


     Notes: 

    1. There will be separate registrations for the Feast and Competitions.  You may attend the Competition without attending the Feast the night before.
    2. Competition is open to all Landings residents. 
    3. Spectators from distant kingdoms (non-members and guests) are most welcome and will not be subjected to servitude or unwanted bondage.
    4. Your team/suit and sport will be determined in a Royal Draft January 18, 2024 so don't commit to a "Suit specific" costume until you have been notified of your team (costumes optional).
    5. Indicate your first and second choice of sports when registering.  We will make our best attempt to honor your requests but cannot guarantee your choice of sport.
